Residue of the Sun is a portfolio of prints, containing ten etchings each together with a poem.

This series of print mainly focus on the subtleness, ambiguity and emptiness of images. They  present the images that depict a place, but fail at the same time. By distorting and reinterpreting the photographs through mezzotint or etchings, the original narrative from the image is bleached and narrow downed, the “place” is turned into “space”. I attempt to map my experience as a traveller, someone misfit with the place and culture, through a poetic usage of prints along with texts.
